We are having a make over

The Sea Shanty hub

Not a club, just a Sea Shanty lovers hub.

Welcome

Join us for some good light-earted, humourous Sea Shanty lovers fun.

Yes welcome Everybody, Please join us.

We have always believed that a shanty is more than a song — it’s a way of pulling together. This site exists to support shanty crews of every size, style, and shoreline as they raise money, lift spirits, and champion the charities that matter to them. You’ll find a light-hearted space here, full of humour, community, and the odd splash of sea‑salt mischief. But behind the fun sits a serious purpose: helping crews amplify their fundraising and make a bigger difference in the communities they care about. Whether you’re singing for lifeboats, food banks, heritage projects, or local good causes, we’re here to help you be heard.

Charity Highlight

This week, we are highlighting the Port of Bristol Shanty crew for their excellent work supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust.

In the grand and occasionally chaotic world of sea‑shanty enthusiasts, we’re not the only ones who believe that a good chorus goes down even better with a grin. Our friends over at the Port of Bristol Shanty Crew have mastered the noble art of mixing music, mischief, and meaningful purpose — all wrapped in a few well‑placed cartoons that make their information platform as friendly as a harbour pub on a Friday night. But behind the humour sits something properly serious:
They do remarkable work supporting The Teenage Cancer Trust.
It’s the kind of contribution that reminds us why community matters — not just the singing, but the shared belief that voices raised together can actually make a difference. So while we’re busy crafting our own blend of shanties, sketches, and gently unhinged maritime nonsense, we’re proud to stand alongside crews like theirs. They show that you can be playful without being trivial, and heartfelt without being solemn. If you ever find yourself in their waters, give them a listen, enjoy the cartoons, and — if you can — support the cause they champion.
It’s good people doing good things, with good humour.
Exactly the sort of company we like to keep. Their Podcast is available on their website/Facebook pages

Tip of the hat for the Port of Bristol Shanty crew

Three young people, Toby Gregory, Hugo Picton Phillipps and Will Halsey, have just become the youngest crew to row across the Atlantic, all in aid of The Teenage Cancer Trust. Well done to them as well
